New Twin Fin from Paul Burke

O'side Craftsman Paul Burk dropped off 2 gems the other day.  EPS twin fin fish with custom hand foiled keel fins.  Excellent orange air brush compliments the retro styling.  The boards are super light and ready for all the small gutless summer waves that Beacons can throw your way.  We have a 6'0 and 6'2 on hand.  If that's not your flavor, Paul will be happy to shape your next custom board!

Changes....

Pretty happy with the change.  It's a better use of space and the windows let in much more light now.  The counter looks better against the north wall and I like that the front of the shop is open and airy.  Plenty of other improvements to make and we will be working on those over the next few months.

Starting point.

Here is the starting point.  We will be moving both the main counter and the skate counter.  The goal is to take advantage of the light from the windows and to make more room on the main floor.

Colin's new ride.

Colin stopped by today with the new ride he built. You'll see him cruising the 101 from Leucadia to work at Pizza Port. Digging the seat extension.

This is for Ray...

A nice restored Chevelle at ASR this year. Ray (who used to work at the shop before graduating to Captain Keno's restaurant) has been restoring his own Chevelle so I took this for him. I think Ray's looks just a bit nicer.

ASR Fall 2010

While some may be scratching their head, I happen to enjoy seeing the encroachment of motor racing on the surf/skate culture. I have been a huge fan of F1 for many years and during that time have watched bits of World Rally and MotoGP. It is fantastic for me to see all of these elements coming together.

Team Subaru USA had a small but nice static display on the main floor.
